Context
Skello is a hyper-growth European company with a mission: to plan the success of its customers. The platform is revolutionizing workforce management by helping managers optimize, simplify, and plan work through an innovative and intuitive tool.
My role
Conducted user and legal research, designed wireframes, ran usability tests, and analyzed results to create a faster and more reliable way for managers to validate employees’ timesheets.
To simplify the export of individual timesheets from Skello, we enabled users to download them directly from the schedule interface. By clicking on any week and selecting “Print,” users access a modal where they can choose “individual timesheet” as the document type. After selecting the desired period and clicking “Export,” the download starts. However, the current process opens a new browser window and generates a single PDF containing all employees’ timesheets — making it less practical for individual distribution.
Managers lose valuable time manually collecting, printing, and signing individual timesheets. The process is repetitive, error-prone, and lacks traceability. The real need was a faster, more reliable way to validate hours worked — ideally with a digital, legally compliant solution that streamlines approvals without disrupting daily operations.
Skello’s e-signature feature is available directly from the Employees > Documents section. Managers can send any document for signature — whether created from a Skello template or imported externally, as long as it’s in PDF format. Everything is centralized and ready to be signed in just a few clicks.
Since documents are centralized in one place, managers can easily select the relevant employee, choose the document to sign, and launch the signature process without leaving the platform. This makes approvals simpler, more secure, and easier to track.
Since launching the electronic signature feature, managers have saved valuable time by eliminating manual signature collection. The process is now more secure and audit-ready, reducing the risk of lost or incomplete documents. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive — managers highlight the tool’s ease of use, and employees appreciate its simplicity. Adoption has been strong, with 40% of users embracing the feature in the first month alone.
